"In the spring of this year I realised that, after 73 years, the state of my teeth had deteriorated so badly that I urgently needed either dentures or implants. It was easy to choose the latter. I then effected a programme of extensive due diligence to find the very best dental practice to carry out the required work. I referred to many friends and work colleagues who had experience of dental implants, after much research I narrowed the field down to three practices in London and three outside. In the event, Elmsleigh House Dental Clinic won the contest by a wide margin and I decided to go ahead with them.

Since taking this decision I have not been disappointed. I started the process in April and, somewhat nervously, I arrived at Reception and all nerves were dispelled when I met the welcoming and efficient ladies on the reception desk. Firstly I met with Tim Thackrah, who outlined a plan of campaign. I was most impressed with his computer images, which helped to show the right course of action to be taken, together with a proposed timetable – it was an exercise in dental architecture.

After the consultation I then became involved in Elmsleigh’s well known team work and high morale. Extractions were carried out by Hugh Cowley, root canals by Shashi Mishra and initial implant work by Tim Thackrah. Hugh Cowley then filled the root canal treated teeth with great skill. Mercifully all of these procedures were painless and at all times the dental nurses were most attentive and reassuring. When the implant caps had been in for some four months, Tim confirmed that they had successfully bonded with the bone and that we could move on to the next stage, the crowning of my implants. This extremely skill full work was carried out in three stages by Hugh Cowley and the Elmsleigh team of technicians, culminating in the crowning glory.

My dental health is now restored and I have regained a successful bite in both upper and lower jaws. I can now smile again with great confidence! In short, I have been extremely impressed with Elmsleigh House Dental Clinic and I can strongly recommend them. Their motto should surely be “the pursuit of dental excellence”. Finally are they good value? They most certainly are!"
