Dentures: the essential guide

Dentures are a very popular way for a dentist to replace your missing teeth. At Elmsleigh House Dental Clinic in Farnham, all of our dentures are created by our Clinical Dental Technician, Frank Johnson. The teeth that he creates are designed to fit precisely, to help create definition in both your mouth and your smile, and also look completely natural.

Whether you have lost one, some, or all of your teeth, we invite you to join us at our Farnham clinic for a free denture consultation with Frank. He can also help if you have dentures that currently move and are loose and uncomfortable.

When you come to our Farnham practice for a consultation with Frank, he will listen carefully to any concerns you may have about dentures or denture treatment. He will also asses the current state of your dental health and will talk you through all of your treatment options, taking your personal health, cosmetic, and financial requirements into account. After this he will take the time to come up with the perfect solution to suit your individual needs, giving you back confidence in your smile and your teeth in general.

Removable dentures

There are two removable denture options available at out Farnham clinic. They are high-quality, durable, and very realistic looking.

1: Premier Dentures

Using old photographs, digital imaging, and special measurements, Frank will create handmade premier dentures that look so natural most people won’t realise they are false teeth.

2: Essential Dentures

These comprise hard plastic teeth fitted to a strong acrylic base. Each tooth is individually constructed from three layers of resin for a completely natural look, and these dentures are highly resistant to both stains and breakage.

Fixed denture options

Often, at our Farnham clinic, we find that using dental implants to stabilise your denture is the best long-term option. This requires minor oral surgery, carried out here in our Farnham clinic. Your dentist will place the required number of implants in direct contact with your jaw bone, where they will fuse with the bone and create a stable base on to which your teeth will be attached.
