Study Club 2018

In line with the General Dental Council’s (GDC's) enhanced CPD scheme, which starts on 1st January 2018, our Study Club 2018 will address any industry changes, and bring leading dentistry speakers to our members.

It will include:

  • An evening workshop on16th January that will help you produce your Personal Development Plan (PDP), which is a requirement for all dental professionals to have as part of the GDC’s enhanced CPD scheme
  • Four full days of enhanced learning across the year, offering 32.5 hours of verifiable CPD covering all core subjects in a five-year cycle.

Everything you need to know about taking the course:

  • It costs £2,075 for the year, and it can be paid in advance or spread across the year in monthly payments
  • It will cover all aspects of enhanced CPD, with four full days at the Aviator Hotel in Farnborough
  • Your four days will include all lectures, refreshments, lunch and post-lecture meals; your evening workshop will be at Elmsleigh House Dental Clinic with a focus on producing your PDP.

Many of our members have been with us since the start of the Study Club over a decade ago, and we are welcoming new members to start Study Club 2018.

Rhiannon Cole from Guildford said:

“When I joined the Study Club five years ago I was looking for an easy, enjoyable way to fulfil my CPD while keeping myself up-to-date with the latest techniques and materials.

“The Study Club is good value as most alternative day courses cost around £500 and Elmsleigh House always book excellent speakers. I love having the opportunity to get to know so many dentists socially, it takes the stress of dental life away, or at least it helps you laugh at difficult situations!”

In addition to our Study Club, we also run courses and seminarsthroughout the year on topics such as prosthetics to give you the skills and confidence to help your patients.

Rebrand for Elmsleigh House

In 2018 we're excited to announce we’ll be launching a rebrand across our website, social media channels, treatment brochures, stationary and surgeries.

We’ll also be launching a range of educational materials to keep you and your patients up to speed with the latest dentistry news and information.

So what can you expect?

Our new website will be going live in December, and will have improved usability and accessibility for our patients and partners.

It will feature a dedicated, timely knowledge sharing section, called The Elmsleigh Hub. This will be a stand-alone webpage that will include information on our case studies and treatments, as well as wider industry updates.

And, it will include information on our referral treatments and how to refer a patient online.

Can't wait? Here's a sneak peak!

Patient referrals

We’re making it quick and easy for you to refer patients online.

Our updated site will include a clear section where you can securely send your patient's details. One of our welcome team members will contact your patient to arrange an appointment. Then, you’ll be notified of the date and time of the appointment, and we’ll liaise with you throughout your patient’s treatment, before returning them to your care.
