A crown is a type of dental restoration used to fix teeth that have been cracked, broken, weakened by decay or heavily filled. We use handmade porcelain crowns to completely cover the visible part of your tooth, making it strong and giving it the shape of your natural tooth. Your porcelain crown will be tailor-made to match the colour of your other teeth, giving it a natural appearance that blends in with the rest of your mouth.

Crowns can be used to replace discoloured fillings to give you a more aesthetic smile. Crowns can also be used to protect or cap a restored tooth after root canal treatment , giving it strength so you can bite and chew. Additionally, crowns can be used to anchor a bridge or denture firmly in place in your mouth.

It may be that you have one or many teeth replaced with dental implants. These are small titanium screws that act as 'bionic roots' to secure an implant crown, bridgework or denture in place. Your replacement teeth will be made to match the colour, shape and lustre of your natural teeth, and made to last.
