Facial rejuvenation, or facial aesthetics, usually refers to non-surgical solutions to improve and maintain the appearance of your skin. These treatments have rejuvenating or anti-ageing properties that make subtle enhancements to your appearance and can boost your confidence.
We are currently making some changes so that we can offer an extensive range of facial aesthetic treatments at Elmsleigh House.
We will offer a complimentary consultation to listen to your concerns and determine a bespoke solution for you. Whether this will be wrinkle-reducing injections, dermal fillers, skin hydration, skin peels or facial sculpting (see descriptions below), you will receive the highest standard of care and treatment performed with care and expertise.
We will offer products that work in harmony with your body, such as hyaluronic acid and collagen, to achieve natural results, rejuvenating and refreshing your appearance.

Wrinkle reduction
If you want to reduce the lines on your face without having to resort to surgical procedures, the good news is that facial rejuvenation techniques can soften wrinkles for a more youthful appearance.
We will offer products such as Azzalure®, a local muscle relaxant adapted from botulinum toxin type A, which will be injected via a fine needle into the skin; this relaxes tiny facial muscles in the area, leaving the skin looking smoother.
Areas on the face that can be treated include frown lines (vertical lines that form between the eyebrows), crows’ feet, popply ('dimply') chin, forehead lines and lines around the mouth and top lip.
The botulinum injection is quick, and because a very fine needle is used you are unlikely to experience any pain; however, you will be offered a topical local anaesthetic if you are concerned about the treatment.
Results will usually be seen in a few days, sometimes taking between four to seven days for the effects to be seen. The effects can last for three to four months, depending on your individual response to this treatment. You can book a series of treatments to achieve optimum and maintained results.
PRX-T®33 skin peel
PRX-T®33 is an innovative skin peel that revitalises and hydrates the skin without using any needles. This unique product combines trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and hydrogen peroxide, which penetrate and regenerate the skin's cells effectively and safely. PRX-T33 promotes fibroblasts and growth factors without causing inflammation or damaging the skin. It is particularly effective at tackling problematic areas on the skin, such as poor texture, loss of skin tone from the face, neck and décolletage, pigmentation, scars (eg chicken pox), stretch marks, enlarged pores and acne. Unlike other skin peels, it can be performed at any time of year (including the summer months) and is suitable for all skin types.
Our facial practitioner will use a special technique to apply the PRX-T33, which quickly penetrates the dermis (one of the skin's layers), activating a process of regeneration without attacking the epidermis (the outer layer of skin). The peel is incredibly effective, and is used in conjunction with WiQo Moisturising and Nourishing Face Cream for dry skin. This restores the hydrolipidic film thanks to its high content of shea butter, and supplies active ingredients such as vitamins A and E, nutritive substances and valuable plant extracts that benefit the skin. You will take home WiQo Smoothing Face Fluid, which you apply from the day AFTER treatment. This contains low pH glycolic acid (8%) with a balanced formula for all skin types, and prolongs and enhances the dermal stimulation at home. The process is safe and painless, and the result is immediate, without any redness or bruising, and incredibly natural!
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers
Dermal fillers are injected to fill and plump-up lines, wrinkles and grooves to make the skin look more youthful. Fillers usually consist of sterile hyaluronic acid gels made from non-animal sources. As we age the skin’s natural hyaluronic acid is lost, giving rise to the appearance of lines, wrinkles and folds. Injecting fillers into the skin acts to replace the hyaluronic acid that is lost with age, and restores volume and structure to your face.
During your treatment, our facial practitioner will inject the filler through a fine needle or a cannula into your skin. She will apply a topical local anaesthetic cream before the procedure to ensure you are as comfortable as possible during your treatment.
The effect of the treatment is visible immediately. Depending on the area treated, skin type and the injection technique, the filler effect can last between six and twelve months; to maintain the results in your lips, a re-treatment is usually recommended within six months.
Scheduling a series of follow-up treatments will help you to achieve optimal and lasting results.
Profhilo® hydrating treatment
Profhilo® is an injectable anti-ageing treatment made from hyaluronic acid to address skin that is losing its elasticity and firmness with age. It is injected just below the surface of the skin where it disperses quickly and reacts with the tissue to instantly boost hydration.
Unlike hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, Profhilo acts as a hydrator rather than a filler. Profhilo is injected just below the skin’s surface, first once a month for three months then every 4–6 months. After injection it disperses quickly beneath the skin to improve hydration, without any need for massage or risk of leaving lumps or nodules.
The slow release of hyaluronic acid stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, in turn improving skin tone, hydration and the appearance of fine lines. This effect takes place within 3–5 days of treatment, and the result in improved skin quality can last for up to 6 months. The maximum effect of Profhilo is usually seen 2 months after the second treatment.
Treatment with Profhilo improves skin tone, texture, hydration and overall radiance. It can help to increase firmness and elasticity and promote healthier and softer-looking skin. Profhilo is most commonly used for facial areas, but can also be used to rejuvenate the neck, décolletage, arms, knees and hands.
Facial sculpting
As we age our skin becomes thinner and loses its firmness and elasticity as our body’s rate of collagen production slows down. Fat that helps to fill out our face also diminishes with age, causing our skin to sag and wrinkle.
Our facial practitioner uses the injected treatment Sculptra™ to replace lost facial volume caused by the natural ageing process. This treatment stimulates your body’s own fibroblasts to produce collagen, and can only be performed by a fully trained medical professional.
Depending upon your individual treatment, up to four vials of Sculptra™ may be used, injected over a series of appointments; usually two vials are used for your first treatment and one for each subsequent follow-up treatment. As Sculptra™ is prepared 7 days in advance, cancellation of your appointment within 7 days or failure to attend will result in a charge of £150 per vial.
It is normal to experience some post-treatment discomfort, such as redness, swelling, pain, itching, bruising or tenderness at the treatment site. This typically subsides after a few days but sometimes can last for longer.
Initial results can usually be seen within six weeks. Six months after your first treatment, you would normally achieve 70-80% of the final result.
Treatment with Sculptra™ can give you a fuller, younger looking face that can last for up to two years.
