Kit qualified as a dentist in 2011, and has worked in NHS and private practice in the UK and Australia, gaining hospital experience in oral surgery. Kit has attained a Master's degree in implant dentistry and is part of the Association of Dental Implantology. He has also completed courses in advanced restorative and aesthetic dentistry and is a Full Member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Kit is involved in dental implant treatment, oral surgery, general dentistry and advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry at Elmsleigh House. He also accepts referrals from other dentists, who trust us with their patients' care.
Kit offers extensive experience in dental implants to replace one, several or all teeth missing. Whether you book in directly or have been referred to Elmsleigh House by your dentist, your first appointment is for an hour-long dental implant consultation with one of our experienced implant team - Kit Spears or Hugh Cowley.
Usually digital x-ray pictures and colour photographs are taken and a thorough clinical dental assessment performed. A cone-beam CT scan may be taken, which produces exceptional three-dimensional images to inform treatment; this is the very latest in dental technology. It may be that you first need a tooth extracted before treatment, or you may have some bone loss or gum shrinkage due to teeth lost previously.
Whatever your dental situation, we will answer any questions and advise you on the solution that would best suit you, taking your health, cosmetic and financial needs into consideration.
Once agreed, this will be written up and sent to you as your personal treatment plan, detailing all stages of treatment and costs involved. We also offer staged payments to spread the cost. We guarantee your quoted fees will not change throughout treatment, ensuring you are happy with the result.
