She had veneers placed at the age of 18, which were now chipped and worn around the edges, and wanted these replaced.   Mrs B saw Cathleen Perrin for a restorative consultation, who listened to her concerns and performed a thorough dental examination. She found some gum problems, which needed to be addressed before any cosmetic treatment.   The specialist in periodontics at Elmsleigh House, Manoj Tank, advised a course of hygiene treatment, which improved Mrs B’s gum health sufficiently for cosmetic treatment to proceed.   Cosmetic options included replacing all the veneers, which can be destructive to tooth enamel, or to remove the veneers and see how the teeth looked underneath. Cathleen successfully removed the veneers without damaging the teeth and performed [cosmetic bonding](https://www.elmsleighhouse.co.uk/cosmetic-bonding-teeth-reshaping) to the entire front surface of the teeth to give them an even shape and colour.   ![Cosmetic bonding at Elmsleigh House improved Mrs B's teeth and smile](https://www.elmsleighhouse.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/22-11-19%20After.jpeg?width=300&name=22-11-19%20After.jpeg)Mrs B was delighted with the end result, which was achieved at a fraction of the cost of replacement veneers and without any damage to her natural teeth. ### Cosmetic bonding and teeth reshaping If you want to subtly enhance the appearance of your smile, our cosmetic dentists can use the latest tooth-coloured materials to fill small gaps between your teeth or smooth over rough or chipped edges. Your teeth could have worn edges, shallow pits or grooves, or may be slightly overlapping; cosmetic bonding and teeth reshaping can minimise these small defects by smoothing the surface of the tooth to create a uniform and straighter smile.   The colour of the material is matched to the colour of your other teeth and is bonded directly onto the tooth surface. It can be shaped or contoured to match the surrounding teeth or alter the shape, depending on your needs. In this way, prominent or overlapping teeth can be reshaped and recontoured painlessly.   Our Farnham dentists can discuss all your cosmetic options to eliminate imperfections in your teeth and enable you to smile with confidence.   [![Read our Cosmetic dentistry brochure here >](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/2605342/f9089576-4dee-4c53-bb2b-a5ab1bca9b79.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/2605342/f9089576-4dee-4c53-bb2b-a5ab1bca9b79) ![](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/content/email-template-images/placeholder_200x200.png) [Previous Post](https://www.elmsleighhouse.co.uk/blog/welcome-sarah-mack-to-our-dental-team) [Next Post](https://www.elmsleighhouse.co.uk/blog/cosmetic-bonding-improves-confidence-before-university) ### CONTACT US TO BOOK OR FOR MORE INFORMATION © 2026 Elmsleigh House Dental Clinic.
